THE WICKED AFTERMATH is an emotionally gripping story of love, loss, and hope, with a rich and entrancing happily ever after. All Wicked novels may be enjoyed as stand-alone romances.

When the person you blame for your grief is the only one who can save you from the pain...

Tank Wicked lost his sister and has since vowed to save everyone else in his path. He lives by the creed of the Dark Knights motorcycle club, sworn to protect and respect his community. He selflessly saves lives as a volunteer firefighter and treats the men and women who work for him at his tattoo shop like family. But life isn’t a balance scale where good deeds negate bad things to come, and one foggy night life guts Tank once again. When a car careens over the side of a bridge and into a river, Tank springs into action, plunging into the water to rescue the passengers. Four people go into the river, but only three come out alive.

Leah Yates is just trying to make it through each day. When the man she blames for her grief becomes the only one who can pull her from the depths of despair, she discovers that even hope comes at a price. Maybe this time she won't have to face it alone.

About the Wickeds: Dark Knights at Bayside
Set on the sandy shores of Cape Cod, the Wickeds feature fiercely protective heroes, strong heroines, and unbreakable family bonds. If you think bikers are all the same, you haven't met the Dark Knights. The Dark Knights are a motorcycle club, not a gang. Their members stick together like family and will stop at nothing to keep their communities safe. Some of the Wickeds’ love stories will be hilariously fun and deeply emotional, others will tear at your heartstrings and include injections of humor, but they will all leave you wishing you could climb between the pages and join them. All Wicked novels may be enjoyed as standalone romances.

Amazingly heartfelt story. I cried, several times, and laughed and just loved Tank and Leah’s story.
  • Get ready to have a box of tissues in hand while reading!

Get ready to have a box of tissues in hand while reading! I was totally NOT expecting this story, but I was completely obsessed while reading and couldn’t get enough! Leah has relocated to town and kept an extremely low profile, so much so that nobody knows she has a brother and two nieces that she claims as her own in order for her brother to get his life back on track. Tank is enamored by Leah, but she won’t seem to give him the time of day – that is until tragedy strikes. When Leah is in an accident with entire family in tow and Tank sees it happen, he jumps into action, and while he is able to save the girls, Leah’s brother doesn’t make it, and it changes their lives forever. Determined to take care of Leah and the girls, Tank does everything possible to make things easier and better for Leah, and while she is extremely resistant of it at first, she can’t deny the initial chemistry between them as well as the feelings that develop as she spends more time with him, and he interacts with the girls. My heart broke for Leah, but Tank was there to put the pieces back together for her and I couldn’t get enough. I cannot wait to see where this series takes me! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

  • Deep love ❤️

    By Newberryd
From the depths of grief, love is reborn, and life continues. For months Leah feels like she can’t breath (not it a good way) when Tank is around. Tank thinks she is hiding from something and he scares her because of his size, tats, and that he is part of the motorcycle club. What Leah is really experiencing is how his grief is suffocating his soul. This tearful, yes I cried a few times, yet loving story shows ways to honor those who have past while looking toward the future.
  • AMAZING!!!

    By Boating Mom
Where do I even begin?! I have never read a Melissa Foster book that I didn’t love. However, The Wicked Aftermath is on a whole different level! If you can read this whole book and not shed a tear, you’re probably not human. The story of Leah, River, Junie, and Rosie is so incredibly touching. The relationship between Leah and her brother, River, was inspiring. How they loved and cared for one another reminded me so much of my relationship with my brothers. Junie and Rosie were so stinkin’ cute! Best of all was Melissa’s depiction of Tank. A big burly biker who’s fierce and a little scary on the outside but with an absolute heart of gold. Reading how Tank interacted with Junie and Rosie was just so sweet, and his interactions with Leah were anything but!🔥🔥🔥 This book may just be my favorite MF book to date. I don’t even know the right words to explain this story other than to say it moved me. It hit right at the core of how we all feel about loss and grief. Seeing how Tank and his family and friends were there for Leah and her little family brought tears to my eyes. All the sweet things Tank did for the girls and ALL the not so sweet things Tank did for Leah, made this story amazing!!!
  • Well done

    By Lbzoza
Tank is my favorite. Without a doubt, this book seals it. While this book is an emotional read, it also heals the broken parts. The writing is fantastic, the chemistry and characters are perfect, I loved this book so much. Well freaking done.
  • New Book Boyfriend Alert!

    By JessicaBlair7
This book was just so heartwarming and sweet! Tank is definitely a new book boyfriend. Something that really adds to the story are the different family dynamics between Leah and her small family, and the large Wicked clan. There’s just so much love and caring within them. The quirky little things make you really excited to learn about all of the characters. The connection between these two is so touching. I loved seeing Tank with Leah, but also with the girls! This book illustrates grief as a process. It’s interesting that it is grief that really connects both Tank and Leah. Overall, I really like the growth of the relationship and I loved seeing the small family that they formed! Also, the cover is hot and I will definitely need to own a physical copy!
  • Heartwrenching

    By charlligirl
Emotionally gripping doesn't even begin to describe this book. All I can say is keep the tissues handy because you will need them. It starts in Chapter 1 and continues all the way through the book until the end. If you are looking for a tearjerker book this is the one to read. So much loss and turmoil in this book. Now that I have scared you, let me tell you about Junie (aka Juju or Twitch) and Rosie (aka Cheeky). They are the cutest little girls ever. Even with everything they've had to deal with in their short lived lives, they give meaning to life and keep everyone happy and moving forward. Tank was a surprise for me. I know all of the Wicked men are incredible, but what biker man would want to inherit an emotionally devastated girlfriend and 2 little munchkins, especially since they aren't even Leah's children. She adopted them. Yet he stuck with her through everything and went above and beyond with her and the girls. What an amazing man. He finally found meaning for his life after losing his sister. Ms Foster, you broke my heart more than once in this book. And yet, I was so happy with the ending and even the middle. There is so much love in the Wicked family. I want to be a member or be adopted by them.
  • Took me on an emotional roller coaster

    By Ciarao9
Leah, waitress and single mother, has sensed that Tank, tattoo artist and Dark Knights MC member, is suffering and avoids having too many interactions with him. As the story progresses a shared tragedy brings the together, letting go of reservations is difficult, and trying to swim through the emotional soup called life together could cause more damage to their growing relationship than help. Melissa Foster’s The Wicked Aftermath took me on an emotional roller coaster. Ms. Foster made me ugly cry throughout the book, while throwing in a couple little rays of sunshine and a large supportive family to balance it out. I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
  • My favorite Melissa Foster book!

    By Cheryl33610
With a catalog of emotional, heartwarming, sexy and fantastic stories, I honestly think this is Melissa Foster’s best book to date! From page one, I was fully immersed in Leah and Tank’s journey towards healing, and each other. I could clearly see Tank in my mind…big, tatted, bearded hunk of man, with a serious, take-no-bull expression. He’s that guy you’re not sure if you should be scared of or just lust over. But then he opens his mouth, and shows you in word and deed that his heart is just a big, squishy marshmallow. Lust it is! Leah is so very strong, even in the face of all the tragedy and heartbreak she has suffered in her life. But she keeps pushing on, for her girls and to keep alive the memories of those who have gone before. While overwhelmed with the support of not just Tank but the entire Wicked family, Leah sees Tank for what he is…a protector. Seriously, I thought my ovaries would explode whenever Tank was talking to Leah’s little girls, the adorable Rosie and Junie! They totally stole not only Tank’s heart, but mine as well. Junie is wise beyond her young years and she is as thoughtful and sweet as her sister is bubbly and precocious. I absolutely did not want this book to end. I laughed, I definitely cried and I loved every single page. Five stars is simply not enough for this book!
