Description

Before It Ends with Us, it started with Atlas. Colleen Hoover tells fan favorite Atlas’s side of the story and shares what comes next in this long-anticipated sequel to the “glorious and touching” (USA TODAY) #1 New York Times bestseller It Ends with Us.

Lily and her ex-husband, Ryle, have just settled into a civil coparenting rhythm when she suddenly bumps into her first love, Atlas, again. After nearly two years separated, she is elated that for once, time is on their side, and she immediately says yes when Atlas asks her on a date.

But her excitement is quickly hampered by the knowledge that, though they are no longer married, Ryle is still very much a part of her life—and Atlas Corrigan is the one man he will hate being in his ex-wife and daughter’s life.

Switching between the perspectives of Lily and Atlas, It Starts with Us picks up right where the epilogue for the “gripping, pulse-pounding” (Sarah Pekkanen, author of Perfect Neighbors) bestselling phenomenon It Ends with Us left off. Revealing more about Atlas’s past and following Lily as she embraces a second chance at true love while navigating a jealous ex-husband, it proves that “no one delivers an emotional read like Colleen Hoover” (Anna Todd, New York Times bestselling author).

I Could not put the book down. I Enjoyed reading about the union of Lily and Atlas as well as reading their honest comments to and about each other. Many couples could benefit from their honest exchanges.

It ends with us has a better flow. This book drags and is mostly predictable. Still happy to see the characters together in the end but felt like there needed to be more drama.

This série has shaken me to my core. Having been in a similar relationship, I must admit, it was triggering, moving but most importantly healing. Thank you for these beautiful books, which I’m sure we’re not easy to write.

I could not put it down. This is an easy read, but only because of the way Ms Colleen Hoover captures your mind. She draws the readers in to feel all characters’ feelings and thoughts. You feel connected to them all and understand things you may not have before. Her ability to make you understand both of the main characters points of views is amazing. It’s hard to understand the evil character or why the main character would stay with a villain. I believe this is a real inside to victims of abuse. It helps readers understand the common hardships victims may deal with and that tug and pull that is hard to overcome when stuck in this situation. While creating sorrow for the victim is an easy thing an author can portray, she was also as to show us to feel for the villain as well, something I never thought to be possible regarding the situation the book surrounds. I was in aw over that piece alone. Read this book for the knowledge to understand and for the entertainment. This book skillfully crafted teaching the reader while also entertaining the reader. I was not able to put this down.

It was hard not to skip pages upon pages of love letters—that also happened to be in the first book. There was really no plot. It was random events tied together.
